The Governors, along with the Staff and we believe the parents and pupils, are justifiably proud of the school; not only the academic attainment, which is remarkable, but the ethos which whilst difficult to define is at the heart of everything we seek to achieve.
Our objective is to offer a school which will enable all of our pupils to develop their full capability in every aspect of their lives not only academic but also spiritual, cultural, and sporting.
As Governors we bring a wide range of experience and skills to our task of guiding the school.
Together, our hope is that we can make a real contribution to the continued development of St Mary’s as a good place to learn both for our present students and for our future generations.
Our students come to us from very varied communities throughout North Derbyshire and the school is a microcosm of the social mix found in the area. We believe that they leave us ready to make their own unique contribution to society whatever their role. We hope that they are inspired by all that St Mary’s has helped them to experience and especially by the Christian principles which are the very foundations of our school’s existence.
We hope you find the website both informative and helpful.
