Over 180 pupils performed at our annual Winding Wheel concert yesterday. It was, quite simply, a superb evening with numerous stunning performances by our musicians. The evening featured instrumental ensembles including Orchestra, String Group, Flute Choir, Key Stage 3 Band, Wind Band, Jazz Band and Sax Ensemble, alongside Lower School Choir, Manflesh, Mini-Manflesh, Festival Choir and Upper School Choir. We were also privileged to witness multiple soloists perform throughout the concert. Musicians of all ages excelled themselves in order to give our audience a night to remember. We wish to thank Mr Lloyd, Mrs Fletcher, Mrs Haywood and Mr Breedon for their dedication to the musical development of our pupils, alongside Mr Cox, our Master of Ceremonies. Finally, we wish to recognise our outgoing Year 13 musicians, many of whom have been involved in the musical life of the school throughout their time with us, and have been an inspiration to younger pupils.
