St. Mary's 'Inauro' education is our bespoke personal development programme. Inauro means to 'coat in gold'.
Inauro extends beyond the traditional academic curriculum to effectively prepare our pupils for a successful life in modern Britain. Inauro encourages pupils to develop and exploit their God-given talents. Our aim is to for our pupils to have the skills, knowledge and desire to make a difference in the world.
The Inauro programme runs from Year 7 through to Year 13, and aims to equip pupils with everything needed to be responsible, respectful and active citizens who contribute positively to society. Through Inauro, the understanding of our shared British values is developed.
Inauro learning takes place across five key strands:
Assembly - Our assembly programme is carefully planned to be aspirational and educational in order to broaden our pupils' personal development.
Tutorial - This is the personal development that takes place every morning through form time.
Seminar - These are the specialist personal development lessons that pupils receive, covering our PSHE and RSE programme.
Pathway - Our extensive range of co-curricular activities. All pupils are strongly encouraged to take part in a co-curricular activity either in or out of school.
Faith in Action - How we use our faith to do good for our community. The Faith in Action Award encourages pupils through recognising, rewarding and celebrating their active faith lived out through service and reflection. The Award helps them connect their life and faith in a tangible manner.
