Inauro School Parliament

The St. Mary's School Parliament is an important body of elected pupil MPs. Being an MP is a very prestigious role. The purpose of the Parliement is to provide cohesive student voice enabling the school leadership team and pupils to work together to continually improve St. Mary's.

Elections

MP elections take place in September each year. In total there are 60 MPs that represent 'constituency' forms from across the different year groups.

There are two elected Leaders of the House, responsible for representing the House and ensuring information from Inauro Parliament Meetings are disseminated to the whole school.

In addition there is an elected Secretary for State of each subcommittee.

Subcommittees

MPs are divided into subcommittees where they meet to debate and discuss specifics related to that area. This involves discussion of policies and procedures within that particular area of school life. They may also involve internal voting amongst students using Satchel One/ Microsoft Forms.
