A unique aspect of a St. Mary’s Sixth Form education is our ‘Inauro Lab time’. Each Wednesday afternoon, all Year 12 students work independently in school, outside of a formal timetabled environment. All the Sixth Form spaces are transformed into settings for scholarly focus, for students to work, explore concepts and read. During the induction, students are taught the art of scholarly focus and how to successfully work hard. Lab time provides an excellent preparation for future university life at top institutions. Bespoke sessions, such as our scholarship programme designed to support those students aspiring for the most elite universities, or our apprenticeship programme for those aiming for a place on the most competitive apprenticeships also run during this time.
